Ellen Lee - Mechanical Engineer + Product Designer
Just as the primary colors blend to form a masterpiece, the arts, sciences, and humanities are the foundation my engineering approach.
I am a senior at Carnegie Mellon University, pursuing a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering. I serve as the Vice President of Women in MechE and the Vice President of the Carnegie Iota Chapter of Pi Tau Sigma, the international mechanical engineering honor society. Outside of departmental responsibilities, I work as a Student Sustainability Assistant with the Green Practices Committee and a Research Assistant at the Human and Robot Partners (HARP) Lab
I am passionate about developing tools and products that aid humans. This is shown in my experiences with developing a human-centered design guide for how robots can help nurse with wound care (HARP + RCHI Lab), teaching college students how to compost (Green Practices), creating flyers for the many clubs I am a part of (Women in MechE + Pi Tau Sigma), or merging recently acquired machine vision software with existing products (Zebra Technologies).
You can find more about my professional experiences on my LinkedIn.
