The magazine spread was made for Design Center: Communication Fundamentals taught by Anna Boyle.
Noname is my favorite rapper and I wanted to promote her community based book club that she formed during the pandemic. Noname Book Club hosts reading groups all across the country and donates books to incarcerated individuals. My magazine spread takes inspiration from the books she recommends and the covers of those books (shown in my Moodboard).
I use the font from her website and the motifs from the merch she has released throughout the spread. The instagram post is an edited image of Noname holding the magazine I created.
This project taught me how to use Adobe InDesign. The images are taken from a photoshoot with Noname and images featured on Noname Book Club's website and instagram. They were edited using Adobe Photoshop. The article in the spread is "How Noname is Reimagining Fame (and Everything Else) by Mankaprr Conteh for the Rolling Stones.
